A little about Sara:

Sara grew up in Montpelier, Virginia and graduated from Patrick Henry High School.  She attended Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies.  She then attended Campbell University Divinity School graduating with the Master of Divinity degree focusing in Christian Education and missions in May 2009.  Prior to serving at Good Shepherd, Sara served as coordinator for the Campus Activities Board at Campbell University and Minister of Children at Neill’s Creek Baptist Church, in Angier, North Carolina.  Sara loves to travel (anywhere she can go), to read, eating Mexican food as well as Japanese food, and taking naps.

A little more about Sara:
My Favorite Bible Characters. . .Deborah (her story can be found in Judges 4 and 5) She had a great faith and was well respected as the only female judge. Also, she was a great source of wisdom and had a keen sense of discernment. Paul because he was a changed human being. He went from making fun of Jews to being blinded and having his name changed from Saul to Paul. He completed missionary journeys and was responsible for spreading the word of Christ.

I have traveled to. . .18 States and England, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, Egypt, and Israel.

Guests at my fantasy dinner party. . . Julia Roberts, Jesus, Ryan Star, Jack Johnson, Ellen Pompeo (Meredith on Grey’s Anatomy), David Letterman, and my best friends.

Likes. . . Japanese food, good books, traveling, hanging out with friends, naps, Home and Garden Television, and texting.

What’s on my bookshelf. . . The Shack, A New Kind of Christian, My Sister’s Keeper, Post Secret, Finding God on the “A” Train.

What’s on my iPod… Ryan Star, Jack Johnson, Derek Webb, Arabic music, Coldplay, Yellowcard, Casting Crowns, Shane and Shane.

If I could be any cartoon character. . . I would be one of the Smurfs.
